This hotel was built by Josif Stalin's order in 1952 in a pompous "Soviet Empire Style", with large rooms, broad corridors, crystal chandeliers, etc. The Hotel was completely renovated in 1997. The Sovietsky Hotel is also home to the famous "Yar" restaurant, which was founded in 1826 and rebuilt in 1910.The Yar maintains the quaint atmosphere from the beginning of the 20th century, when it was most famous for its Gypsy performances. The restaurant has delicious Russian and European cuisine.

In all the rooms of the "Sovietsky" hotel the guests are given a cosmetic kit - soap, gel, shampoo, lotion, disposable slippers, and in deluxe rooms - bathrobes. The towels and linen are changed daily. One can order food and drinks from the lobby bar . through reception or through the concierge, which will be delivered to your room at any time. In all the rooms there is mineral water with and without gas (free), and in the evening, guests will find small chocolates on their pillows.
Standard Room - a quiet cozy room with two single beds put together and a sofa. The room is equipped with satellite TV, international telephone, a low-cost dial-up internet access in the room (or free highspeed internet in the business center), a refrigerator and a hair-dryer. Linen is changed daily. S = 17 to 23 sq. m.
Superior Room - Spacious rooms with a big double bed, in some rooms there is also a sofa. The room is equipped with a security system, satellite TV (15 channels) , direct-dial telephone, low-cost dialup internet in the room (or free high-speed access in the business center). Perfectly suits all needs for work and for rest. Linen is changed daily. S = 41 sq. m.
Club Room - A special alcove room (the bedroom is separated from the living room with a dense curtain) with a double bed and a sofa.
