The Hotel Alba is a family-run establishment. The friendly, helpful staff are happy to help provide tourist information and recommendations for things to see and do in Milan.
Room information
All of the rooms are furnished in a simple, functional style with light wood furniture. Each room has a shower and washbasin, with shared public bathrooms in the corridor.
Area information
The hotel’s convenient location and excellent public transport links make it a great base, whether you are visiting the city on business or exploring the whole of Milan and the surrounding region for leisure. All that the city has to offer is within easy reach. You can explore the city centre, from Piazza Duomo to Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, through the city’s Haute Couture streets. The city’s exhibition centres are also easy to get to from the hotel. The new exhibition centre situated in Rho-Pero (Fiera Milano) and the other section, which is situated in the city (Fiera Milano City), can both be easily reached from the hotel.
Hotel Alba is also very near the city’s most important hospitals (Clinica Santa Rita, Centro Tumori Besta and San Raffaele). Clinica Santa Rita is just 300 metres away, the Istituto Nazionale Neurologico Carlo Besta is just 2 minutes away by car or by public transport and the San Raffaele Hospital is also easy to get to from the hotel.
Piazza Leonardo da Vinci, headquarters of the Polytechnic and of some of the Public University’s Faculties (agriculture, veterinary science and physics), is just 700 metres from the hotel.

By Air:
The hotel is approximately 50 km from Malpensa International Airport. There are 2 different ways to reach the hotel:
By Train/Metro (from Malpensa International Airport):
- Take the Malpensa Express train to the Cadorna stop.
- Then take the green line (line 2) on the Metro towards Cascina Gobba/Gessate/Cologno.
- Get off at the Lambrate Station, after 11 stops.
- Walk down Via Porpora for about 500 meters. After 2 sets of traffic lights, you will see the hotel on the left-hand side.
By Shuttle Bus (from Malpensa International Airport):
- Take the Autostradale shuttle, which will take you to Milan Central train station.
- Then take the number 33 tram towards Rimembranze Lambrate and get off at the stop in Via Porpora, at the crossroads with Via Teodosio (which is right in front of the hotel).
By Bus (from Milan´s Linate Airport):
- Take the number 73 bus all the way to the last stop (Piazza San Babila).
- Then take the red line (line 1) on the Metro towards Sesto FS, and get off at Piazza Loreto, after 4 stops.
- Walk down Via Porpora for about 800 meters and you will see the hotel on the right-hand side.
By Shuttle Bus (from Bergamo´s Orio al Serio International Airport):
- Take the Autostradale shuttle, which will take you to Milan Central train station.
- Then take the number 33 tram towards Rimembranze Lambrate and get off at the stop in Via Porpora, at the crossroads with Via Teodosio (which is right in front of the hotel).
By Train/Metro (from Milan Central train station):

- From the motorway take exit number 8 for Lambrate.
- Then left at the traffic lights into Via Rombon and carry on down this road.
- After the tunnel, keep going straight along Via Porpora.
- After 200 metres, you will see the hotel on the left-hand side.
