By Plane:
The International Airport of Chania, 15 km outside the city, connects the city with Athens. Flight time is around 30 to 40 minutes from the Athens international airport. For transport to Hotel Alexis from the airport, taxi is the usual option.
Land travel between Cretan cities:
From the Heraklion airport, travellers can take a taxi to the bus terminal (KTEL) in the city of Heraklion and from there buses leave for the Chania bus terminal approximately every hour where you can find a taxi to Alexis hotel.
At the Heraklion Airport you can easily rent a car for your trip to Chania.
Transfer by taxi can be divided if more than one passenger shares the taxi.
By Ferry Boat:
Ferry boat connection between Athens and Crete is available through Chania, Rethymno or Heraklion which accommodate cars on the overnight trip. Travellers would choose between bus/taxi option once at the port to Alexis Hotel. Ferries depart daily in the evening from the port of Piraeus and arrive in the Cretan cities the following morning. On the return trip similar ferry boat schedules are available.
