The Queens Head Hotel is located in the town centre, within easy walking distance of local buses and the train station. Morpeth is a historic market town with lovely river walks and picturesque parks.
As from 1st July 2007 this is a non-smoking hotel by law. All room rates are inclusive of full English or continental breakfast. On-site is the Hotel Ridley Bar, Burnt Orange Cafe Bar and HQ late night Bar.
Breakfast is served Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 08:30 and Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays from 08:00 to 10:00. Breakfast, evening meals and Sunday lunch are served in The Dugdale Restaurant, where non-residents are welcome to dine. Please book to avoid disappointment.
Please note that on every Friday and Saturday night, the last Wednesday of the month and Sunday nights of bank holiday weekends, there is a bar/disco which is open until 02:00. This may cause some noise to be heard from some bedrooms, depending on your location in the hotel.
The Queens Head Hotel offers meeting and banqueting facilities and a wide variety of buffet and sit down meal menus. Children and guests with special dietary requirements are also catered for.

The Queens Head Hotel has single, twin, double and family rooms. All are en suite with a bath and shower, and equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, a telephone, hairdryer and TV. An iron and ironing board are available upon request.
Travel information
The Queens Head Hotel is situated in the centre of town and local transport is all within walking distance. Newcastle airport is approximately a 20 minute drive away.
By car from the South:
- Follow the A1 north and exit for Morpeth.
- Follow the road through Clifton village and you will find a car showroom and caravan park on your left.
- Continue for about a mile into the town centre.
- Continue through a mini roundabout and past a golf course.
- At the next roundabout take the left exit, signposted town centre.
- Follow this road over the bridge and take the next left at the roundabout.
- Continue up the main street and about half way up on your left you will find a Tudor style building which is the Queens Head Hotel.
From the North:
- Follow the A1 south and take the turn off for Morpeth.
- Continue straight at the traffic lights and at the 2nd set of lights there is a mini roundabout.
- Continue between the town hall and HSBC bank.
- Take the next left onto Whale Bone Lane.
